Had two Northbound yesterday also as DRAGO-51 towards Boston.
Must have worked flyover at some event up North perhaps? Had hit also on 228.300 but wasn't sure till you posted same.
A/A 273.850 was logged last year being used by VFA-211 down Va Capes way.
Here is why in Boston area. :) See VFA-211 Fighting Checkmates tail emblem below.

Watching Hawaii Honolulu airport u tube live and post said the 4 KC-135's and two KC-46's will
be departing Hawaii tomorrow in support for the Hornets.. Assume Westbound Coronet.
Another McG KC-46 is bound for PHNL tonight, RCH011. Not sure if they will be participating in the Coronet or maybe crew rest in Hawaii before pushing further west. Always intrigues me that the East coast tanker crews get so many Pacific taskings when Travis, March, Beale, Fairchild, etc seem to be a more logistical option.

USAF knows that McGuire has all of 24 new KC-46 tankers and remember not long ago when Sec of AF and others came out
to praise McGuire etc and I posted here that means they will be getting lots of future work.. Man are they getting it as they should.
Just think 24 local tankers here is far more than most countries :)
Travis still a ways behind on their KC46 procurement program.. RCH-011 probably for something else.

Not long ago some Euro mil fan commented on another board when I said Europe should have more tankers and he said..
Well you guys have two Oceans to cover etc.. I responded Europe isn't surrounded by oceans? LOL
Even on local defense sorties F-35's,Typhoons dont last long in the air without tankers.

Odd that FAA TFR list page shows blank today.. Back online now.. Forgot Sat/Sun is when most computer guys do their systems work.

Please, if you have to label something as Off-Topic, then it doesn't belong here. This thread is strictly for Mil Air Spotting in the Mid Atlantic.

Thanks,
Mike

Agree--somewhat. Some of the O.T. posts deal with mil aviation developments which could impact the Mid Atlantic in the future so is useful to get a heads up, Also, some of us are interested in milair happenings in general and like to keep informed of current " happenings"
