MOL entitlement ID issues.
I have a legitimate CPS, MOL account and also received an Entitlement ID (EID) after completing the training and going through the $0 purchase procedure.
However, I can never get connected with the Motorola server. After speaking with a very rude Motorola network technician, I decided to try this at home on another computer: with no firewalls, QoS Cisco settings or port restrictions on my own network. I still get the same problem.
The company I work for has used many variations of hardware and CPS software for over 20 years now, and I am only adding MotoTrbo equipment to the list. My experience with getting everything added to the MOL account, calling them back when they do not have me listed as an employee of the correct company. Calling again to have them affiliate me with their training records (from my military days, dealing with Motorola), and all the other calls for various problems in their database.
It is exhausting and demoralizing to stay with them as a company when I only have to do this once for the Harris equipment I purchased for myself a year ago.If Harris equipment was cheaper, we would have switched due to the customer service issues alone. For this particular industry and use, several other vendors equipment is totally compatible. This includes WX and Marine VHF channels as my work has me on the water dealing with the US Coast Guard.
Mother-ship M needs to get back into customer service mode and actually pay attention to their loyal customers that have spent millions in hardware over the years.
Once I get my EID registered, I will post the final result. As of right now, one month of drama has been wasted on new equipment that should have had 12.5kHz enabled from the factory.
