Hello,

Can someone please explain the meaning of the Saber Desktop Charger indicator lights? I see there are 4, but I am unsure of what they all mean.

This is the model and its info:
http://www.pchemlabs.com/product.asp?pid=966 (has pix)

Motorola (Model NTN4734A) Saber Radio Desktop Battery Charger

Alternatively, if someone can direct me to a techincal manual for it, that might help too.

Thank you.

Saber charger

Upper left is green and means charge complete ** when it is lit.
Upper right is yellow and is a cautionary state, where either the battery may be overheated or at a very low state, usually it will stay on for a while and then shift to charging.
Lower left red is charging and lower right red is bad or battery problem.

** realize that upon reaching green, the charger actually takes about 2-4 hrs to actually top of the battery in the trickle state.

Also have found the Saber charges finicky on low voltage or extremely discharged batteries, and have sometime dropped a battery in another style charger for several minutes or even carefully applied a straight Dc voltage into and then put ti back in charger and it will come up.
