If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

What size power supply are you using? It might not be big enough. Other than that, sight unseen, it may be hard to diagnose.

I have the unit on a good power supply, 13.8v dc unit with a 15 amp constant rating... I did get the issue with the mike cue prob fixed lastnight, bent wire in the rj45 jack, that problem is now solved, but i still cannot get the unit to transmit? I used to use this radio long ago, 05' 06' for ema, and i cant find any of my info on it, or instructions on it either, moved twice, prob thrown away.... Any way to get a users manual for this radio? pdf format if possiable?

The manual won't tell you much more than how to change channels, adjust volume, turn scan on/off, etc. I haven't been able to find it but here's the service manual: M1225 Service Manual

What specifically are you trying to find out from the manual? A lot also depends on how it was actually programmed as to what is what, functionality wise.
