Who was is that had the interleaved LEDs? Was it federal?

Whelen had an interwoven dash king, it was red/blue.

I thought about duel 1225s, but I already had a maxtrac, and wanted to keep it cheap. Now I won't even have the room for those (standard cab P/U)...

What kind of hwy mileage are you getting? I thought about one over a CV because of mpg.

I get about 20-22 in mixed driving. Mostly the 12 mile stretch of state highway to work. And I have a heavy foot:twisted:. I have got as much as 27 on road trips.

As far as I know, it is. I bought it from a local guy (also a member here) with an 800 Mhz radio but it seems to pick up VHF pretty good, also. I do not know the brand name.

Those are Antenex Phantom antennas. The bigger one is VHF-Hi and the smaller one is UHF (450-470 split).
