Greene County now has gone narrow band. Freq. stayed the same. Motorola said our Minitor 2 pagers would not trip. Yup there wrong they work just fine.

They will work if the frequencies are the same, however you may get interference from any adjacent frequencies which are narrow band. A strong signal could prevent the pager from receiving a page.

Motorola does not say they won't work, Motorola says they will be highly susceptible to adjacent channel interference once the "new" channels are assigned in your area. your local shop(they are NOT Motorola but independantly owned) may mistate this, but Motorola likely has not. more than likely what was said was that they would not function PROPERLY, because they won't meet full original audio specs nor can they reject the new channels. if they are loud enough for your needs, then by all means use them until such time as you have to replace them due to a new adjacent user.
