It is now approved with a callsign.
This is likely the new tower going up to patch a hole in coverage for the Fire Departments coming over to the SRS. There was discussion about it at the Madison BOC meeting Tuesday. It is now approved with a callsign.
They are going to be rather disappointed in the coverage of 800mhz in that part of the county. Very hilly. Unless this is going to be a very tall tower with hi gain antennas and tower top amplifiers. I still ask myself the same question why Norfolk proper needs 800.Why do they need 800?
I will add this to the monitor list. It may be a tough go up here in Norfolk since its 800mhz and 20 miles southwest of me. Perhaps a road trip towards the tower may be in the works once it is turned up.It shows antenna at 99.4 meters on the US 92 tower. That tower is 152 meters tall.
Antenna gain is 8 dbi on the license.
Looking through the license and the emission designation, looks like this is going to be a NEXEDGE (NXDN) system. I haven't made the jump to a SDS 100 or equivalent...yet....(still have a Pro 106)......I found another 800 trunked license for the state in Norfolk.
It is at the Norfolk Regional Center.
Newman Grove site has finally been turned up as of this morning. Madison Rescue and Tilden Rescue were affiliating to the Norfolk West 800 site.Madison County has a new 800 license pending for Newman Grove.
At this time the SRS is not Phase 2.Has the statewide system switched to Phase 2? I can still monitor it with my SDS200, however I'm trying to program a friend's Whistler WS1065 and I'm not receiving anything, but it is a Phase 1 only scanner. Curious if I'm missing something during programming or if everything is Phase 2 now?
Thanks. I was kind of hoping it was...that would explain why I can't get this scanner to program. I guess I'll keep trying. At this time the SRS is not Phase 2.
Unlisted TG 59500 heard in Dawes County on the Chadron Site. RID's 1021994, 1065005.
I believe this may be the correct talkgroup for the Dawes County Sheriff.
Did you submit this to the DB??Correction: This now appears to be Box Butte County Sheriffs Dispatch, with TG 56503 appearing to be Alliance Police.
