Santee tower?

I heard numerous signal checks on B ROC Call between "radio shop" and Knox County. I thought I heard "on Santee tower."

I heard these transmissions on the Ponca site.

Any thoughts or confirmations?

Are you referring to the site listed in the database as Niobrara? Nebraska has two licenses listed in Knox County: WQWF354 listed as being in Winnetoon (maps east of Verdigre) and WQMR845 which is listed as being in Niobrara (maps southwest of Niobrara).

The database only lists one Knox County tower site.

I guess my question was if a second Knox County site was coming online?

Thank you! That's what I get for searching their FRS data, but not clicking on the actual callsign....

Radio ID's specify a particular radio. Let's say that dispatch calls a medic unit. If the medic answers on a handheld radio, the radio ID will be different than the mobile radio in the medic unit. Often, there may be 4 handheld radios assigned to each piece of fire apparatus. Each one has a different radio ID. It's that way everywhere, not just in Nebraska. I've seen the same thing here in Baltimore County MD. If a police officer is assigned to the desk is away from it uses a handheld radio, the radio ID will not match that of the precinct.

They are changing radios ID's as they change the system over to use the new system ID.

Each system has an ID. ORION system was assigned ID 144 since 2003. The state system was built and allowed to use the same ID of 144 in 2009. It complicates how things work for each system so the State is moving to a new ID. They may change other things, but time will tell.

I have just notice on my sds200. On 2 towers (Ayr & Giltner) the NAC has another set of numbers flashing next old numbers (14FH & 14AH). New NAC numbers are B8FH & B8AH <(that's Flashing). The is questions, "Are this new numbers going be the new NAC?"

Yes, they changed due the new system ID. It seems that they have migrated all the sites to B8F.

I suspect it was submitted by someone without checking system ID compared to NSRS. It was during the time NSRS was transitioning the sites to the new System ID. Those sites are part of the NSRS and I would think someone out there could run Unitrunker to find correct site number for the 4 sites.
