When you save the file, it should be saved in the Downloads folder. In the file explorer, go to Downloads and locate the Stanislaus Co CA zipped folder. Right click on it and Extract All. Go to ARC500 and click on Open. Go to the Downloads folder, highlight the extracted file (Stanislaus Co CA.gr5), and click on Open. It should load into ARC500. There will be only a single file. All of the trunk system, talkgroup, conventional frequency, and scan list information will be in that single file. If you click on Talkgroup, you will see the 29 talkgroups. You will also see which scan list and trunk system is assigned to each talkgroup. If you click on Trunk Systems, you will see the Stanislaus Reg and Turlock P25 systems. If you click on Conventional, you will see the 34 conventional frequencies. You will also see the scan list assignments and other information. Connect the scanner and go to the Scanner tab and click on Upload to Scanner.

Look in ARC500 at the file I gave you. It will show you exactly what you need to enter. Is your scanner receiving Stanislaus Co? Do you have problems with the file not working?

Are scan lists 6 and 7 turned on? I was going to check if anything changed, but the Radio Reference database is down.

The only P25 conventional frequencies are Stan Co Fire 155.94 Cmd5 and 154.415 Tac11. The Stanislaus Regional 911 P25 system is all PD and has no fire talkgroups. All fire in Stanislaus Co is conventional frequencies and all are entered in the file. Turlock Fire is on the Turlock P25 system. Scan list 5 is Turlock Fire. Do you see the Stanislaus Reg and Turlock P25 systems scanning? If you are receiving Ceres and Modesto PD and Stan Co Sheriff (scan lists 1, 2, and 3), the Stanislaus Regional 911 system is working. If you are receiving Turlock PD and Fire (scan lists 4 and 5), the Turlock P25 system is working. Try backing down on the squelch until you hear noise and then up just enough to quiet it. Everything in the database is included in your file and there is nothing to add. I will keep an eye on the database for future updates.

You should have 29 talkgroups and 34 conventional frequencies in the scanner. Listen for a while and let me know if you seem to be missing anything.

I assume that you see a T at the top of the screen when on scan lists 1 thru 3. That is the Stanislaus Regional 911 system. That indicates that you are receiving a trunked system. You should see the same thing on scan lists 4 and 5. That is the Turlock P25 system. I just double checked the programming for the Turlock system and everything is set up correctly according to the database. If you are not receiving it, you either have a poor signal or possibly they changed to a new control channel frequency. Since there was only one control channel frequency listed, I entered all 6 of the frequencies just to be safe. Turn off all scan lists except 4 and 5 and see if you have a T displayed at the top of the screen and Turlock P25 at the bottom. If the system is working properly, you should be receiving Turlock PD and Fire. Scan lists 6 thru 9 are all conventional frequencies and they should just flash on the screen. With just scan lists 1 thru 5 on, the Stanislaus Reg and Turlock P25 systems should be displayed at the bottom of the screen for an equal length of time. I am going to start a thread on the California forum to verify the control channel frequency for the Turlock P25 system.

Did you press 4 and 5 on the keypad? Those 2 scan lists should be on. I uploaded the file to my scanner and with no signal, it shows scanning with scan list 4, scan list 5, or both. The only time I get Nothing Enabled! is with all of the scan lists turned off.
