ST. Cloud police show full time encryption for all except 1 talk group. No scanner can receive the other talkgroups. The 1065 was a good scanner in it's time, but would probably also not handle simulcast which may also be used.

Law enforcement in Osceola County is fully encrypted and cannot be received by any scanner. You should be able to monitor Fire, EMS, and Public Works. You may have a problem receiving the trunked system depending upon you location due to simulcast distortion. I use ARC500 also. I will see if I can help with the programming a little later. I have to go out for a while.

Here is your file. Save the attached zipped file to your computer and extract. Open the extracted file with ARC500. Connect your computer USB port to the PC/IF jack on the scanner. Go to the Scanner tab in ARC500 and click on Upload to Scanner. Click on Start Upload. When upload is completed, turn squelch fully counterclockwise and slowly turn it up until the noise just quiets on the StCld Fire Disp conventional frequency. That will be your point of maximum sensitivity. Scan lists 1 thru 10 are on the trunked system. Scan lists 11 thru 14 are conventional frequencies. Scan lists as follows:

SCAN LISTS:
1. OscCo Interop
2. OscCo Emerg Ops
3. OscCo EMS/Hosp
4. OscCo Fire/Resc
5. Kiss Fire/Resc
6. StCld Fire/Resc
7. OscCo Law
8. OscCo Schools
9. OscCo Services
10. Kiss Services
11. OscCo Hosp Conv
12. OscCo Fire Conv
13. OscCo Law Conv
14. OscCo SchoolConv

If you have missed transmissions, dropouts, or garbled audio, that will be due to simulcast distortion. Please let me know how it works. If you have problems receiving, there are a couple of things you can try.

I'm very sorry I'm so new to this. How can I tell if it's trunked or conventional

Turn off scan lists 11, 12, 13, and 14. Anything you receive on scan lists 1 thru 10 is the trunked system. To turn off scan list 11, press FUNC and then 1. To turn off scan list 12 press FUNC and then 2. To turn off scan list 13, press FUNC and then 3. To turn off scan list 14, press FUNC and then 4. The scan lists can be turned back on using the same procedure.
