My 536 HP has worked fine on my local site and UC Simo, but I think performance is very location dependent, so it might be a risk if you can't test. If you do not need to monitor one of the simulcast sites, you can probably get away with an older Phase 2 scanner.
Good to see you around Brett, it's been a minute.

Can someone advise what the 63XXX frequencies are? It appears that they are duplicates of the P25 channels assigned. For example, 63166 is Summit County Law, which is the same as 5513, but I cannot confirm.

they are the vhf patches for the p25 systems. the more vhf patches the more 63xxx TGs

Would it be beneficial to the group to add these TGs to the database?
it would if the 63xxx TGs were permanent and didn't change all the time. I watch them on dsdplus it patches then after a while it either times out or do whats called a teardown. then repatches with a different 63xxx tg. the patch between them is between vhf analog and the p25 system. Down here in price area the TGs rotate between 63700 - 63800 (so 100 different TGs rotate). in Vernal the patches don't change as often tg 631xx, other areas 634xx.

as far as the other TGs you guys have verified those can be added to the database..

Thank you, the pictures are very helpful. Listening to Tooele Dispatch on Fire 1, they have it patched now with a VHF and it has been encrypted. I am not sure who it is patched with or if it is VHF Fire 1 patched.

I'm on the outside looking in with the new system as I wanted to see what could still be monitored in the P25 world here in UCA land before I cough up dough for a new radio.

But the research I have read so far is that anything other than a Uniden SDS100/SDS200 has issues with P25 in monitoring simulcast sites.
This has been confirmed with others around the country.
I am using SDS100 and 200, as well as TRX-1 & 2. They are all copying fine. (in addition to RTL-SDR's with Unitrunker V2)

unitrunker can see info from the control channel fine but you can only hear audio if its P25 phase 1, phase2 won't produce any audio. dsdplus works with either one.

I would estimate that about 2/3rds of what I am seeing/hearing is Phase 1. I did have a short discussion with someone who carries one of these radios, and he is concerned that a lot of money was spent on Phase II radios, and they are operating as Phase 1. (I believe it has something to do with the Motorola vrs Harris feud.)

Are you following the simulcast sites ok with your TRX-2?
Yes. I have a TRX-1 scanning the (identified) Bountiful/SDMFA TGs and a TRX-2 scanning/searching for new TGs. The TRX-1 is locked on the Francis Peak site and the TRX-2 is locked on the NSL site.

Thanks for the heads up.

Anybody up in SL County...need a little help here - the Radio Call Identifier wiki page appears to be out of date.

I've seen these radios come up in my logs...any clue what agencies these are or can confirm my guesses?

22I - Radio ID Range 13050000 - primarily affiliated with TG 2893 (no clue what this TG is)
23I - Radio ID Range 13210000 - primarily affiliated with TG 2879 (Taylorsville?)
27I - Radio ID Range 13030000 - primarily affiliated with TG 2876 (UPD/Cottonwood Heights)?
28I - Radio ID Range 13240000 - mixed affiliation with TG 2883 (UPD/Magna or Kearns) & 2884 (UPD/Holliday, White City or Millcreek) - not sure which of those cities 28I properly belongs to...

And for anybody up in Davis Co...11G says it's Not Assigned but I've seen a half dozen or so radios pop up. Any ideas?

Remember, the list is a work in progress. There are a lot of Talk Groups that haven't been heard or Identified as of yet. It is gonna take time. For example, 3701 and 3702 are (I think) UTA PD (fare violators), and 2897 is U 0f U PD-Traffic Control.
