I've got an Icom IC-V8, When I look at the frequencies on the radio reference page i do not know the definitions for M,RM,and BM under type catagory and under tone, I need to know what DPL, and PL is referring to? I'm stumbling my way on trying to set up this radio any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, Don

PL and DPL are better known as CTCSS and DTCS respectively.

M is for mobile,R for repeater ,and B for base. There for if it has a "M" it's used by mobiles or handhelds only, if it's "RM" then they are using a repeater as well as mobiles.
