Literally was just typing up the same thing; let's move on.

8080 was active again on the Martinsville tower; key ups only. Not sure if it has anything to do with Site 21 testing; have not seen that online in almost a month.

I couldn't hold it in anymore. Just...yeah.

As to 8080, pretty damned sure it's a REMU group.

If y'all feel so strongly, there's some great houses for sale in Union that you could purchase, then run for Township Committee.

So any developments on the NJICS?

It’s not really a union county issue, it could be any county anywhere.
But yes I know that’s where the original comment was made about

Need a favor from you guys out here - the new SDS-100 allows you to assign the site NAC that's present on a P25 system's site now. We are missing the site NAC for only 3:

  • Neptune
  • Millville
  • Long Branch
Can any of you guys help out with info? This will make scanning large systems a bit easier, as fill-in sites that share frequencies will be skipped-over now if the NAC does not match when the scanner detects voice or control traffic.

Anyone have the SDS100 yet over in Jersey? What I'm hearing over here in PA sounds almost perfect. Granted I'm mostly out of reach of anything but Hunderton, but it's definitely better. Just wondering how the scanner is doing over in the thick of it.

I noticed this evening that when you map the NJICS sites by clicking the "RR Locations" link, that the Bordentown/Burlington Co Simulcast is not in Burlington at all. It shows up near Great Adventure to the NE. Also, the "mobile site" maps over near Tullytown, PA. I think those assigned lat/longs should be changed.

Any further reports of signs of life from Site 21 or the Echo Lake Stables (Hamburg) Site? Interested to see how the timeline develops with the Sussex County Simulcast creation.

2-Comm doesn’t ever affiliate to that?

They don't affiliate cause the sites aren't live. The two new sites are Echo Lake Stables IR in West Miford, and Hamburg Mountain BCast. They, once live, will be joined with High Point and Walpack to create a Sussex County Simulcast.

The SDS performance is already being discussed in the thread below. I don't think we need to rehash everything in the NJICS thread.

https://forums.radioreference.com/n...m/371551-sds100-quick-performance-review.html

Or we could leave it up to the Admin whom I quoted being it's relevant to the thread.

You've got some of your sites and simulcasts mixed up.

Echo Lake Stables are in Newfoundland, not West Milford. The Bearfort site is the one in West Milford. Both of those sites will eventually form a simulcast cell for Passaic County, along with Garrett Mountain (WQYK295).

The Sussex County simulcast cell will consist of High Point, Walpack (Hill 1606), and Hamburg Mountain (WQYK287). None of the new frequencies are on the air yet, nor is there any activity from Hamburg. The state recently filed a slow growth request, pushing the build-out deadline to late 2020 for all four county-allocation based simulcast cells.

Also, while the term "IR" (IntelliRepeater) is noted in CAPRAD for some of these sites, it does not apply to the 700 MHz ASTRO 25 system. That is an archaic term left over from the 800 MHz Type II system. I would also caution against taking the allocations in CAPRAD as gospel, as some of those allocations have changed or are no longer accurate.

Gotcha guys. Thanks for the info.
