Hillarious audio tests by the techs yesterday like "Attention Niagara Falls, Station Three, ESC Alarm, Blah Blah Blah - Yadda Yadda Yadda..."
Some channels were called by name (Tac 2, etc.) but I was unable to see my screen to make note of the frequencies. Then again, maybe they were only kidding around (as above) to check audio levels.
It also sounds like the pre-existing NFFD radio system is crumbling faster - there was some on air complaining about it yesterday. The guys are no doubt eagerly awaiting the roll out of the new sytem!

Testing

The Niagara Falls Fire department and Tech's were doing testing this morning, turning lights on and off at the helipad from the new console, also testing 4 and 6 district pagers.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
166.140 p25
169.560 p25

They just finished a test at 8:30 pm, one of the fire fighters took a ride to Fort Erie with one of the new radio's, strenth 5 all the way to Central Ave. in Fort Erie. They were very impressed with the Audio and clairity of the signal.

Very clear and strong signal, more intense testing over the week end.

Yes so far, the testing should get a lot more active so they will be changing from frequency too frequency and we will find out the what are the 3 too 4 tac channels and other stuff in the next few days. also there has been activity on other frequencies if you look at my other post.
