I have an NXDN Trunked System I'm trying to program.
It shows in RR Database but NOT in Sentinel. Yes Sentinel Master Data Base is up to date.
Trying with SDS100 with Paid NXDN Upgrade, and Firmware Current.
Tried programming with ProScan and at a loss there too.
Here is the system and thanks for any assistance.

Yes, it’s not a database thing, it’s a uniden thing. The system does not have any identified talk groups so uniden classifies it as non scannable. If you have @ProScan you can import with that or wait for someone to advise on manually programming. I am on the road and not near my pc or scanner.

System shows up fine in Proscan but it won't show up in Sentinel since there are no talkgroups ID'ed. After you import the system to a favorites list in Proscan you'll need to select the system on the left-hand navigation column, click "System Options" tab then tick the checkbox to turn on ID Search to allow all traffic to pass through then write the change to your scanner. Assuming traffic on the system is not encrypted you should be able to hear activity & log talkgroups if you turn on ID Search. Be sure to update the database with your talkgroup findings & their uses. At least one talkgroup needs to be submitted to the RRDB for the system to show up in Sentinel

Just did some errands driving around and I got NADA ZERO transmissions. Maybe "E".

Without knowing its intended use, it may only have activity during a major events. Saw someone claiming ABC in FL is enc. If its local, keep it in scanning in the background. Know anyone with an sdr dongle and DSDPlus? That could tell you if there is activity and if its enc.

I don't have an SDS anymore. But I used one once to figure out a NXDN system.

There was some kind of discovery mode on the scanner. I ran that for awhile it picked up the TGs and something like a control channel number (can't remember the actual name).

The important step was to read from the scanner, then all that data will be available in Sentinel (and presumably proscan) for tweaking.

Looking at the FCC license I notice the channel numbers were more or less in order, so I just guessed and filled in the blanks based on the the pattern that seemed to be emerging.

Later on I found the control channel changed on a regular basis, might have been every day, So I had to deal with that as well.

Hope this helps a little. You might be able to find more on this using the search function. The thread could many years old. Good luck.
