A 30 minute delay does not promote public safety. Knowing that people with guns were running around your neighborhood or that a high speed chase was coming down your street a half hour ago is just about useless.

Going back to the system in question. Yesterday, around 14:00, when I posted that the system was back up and running, TG 327 was broadcasting with RIDs. Im think this was radio tech doing something. It was 100% P4 (Encrypted) per UT.
Compromise should not be necessary. Routine dispatch should be open. Watching the news the next day is cheaper than getting delayed access, and just as worthwhile.

Any Update on Nypd Trunk. Since they are going encrypted. I just got a XPR 900 P25. How can I get Queens 109/111, my son loves hearing what is going on in the area and I want to get it for him for Christmas.

Take the civil service test and then go to the police academy, Then you can get your XPR900 on the 109/111...
You’re not going to get it. It’s encrypted. Separate from this, the trunk hasn’t had any voice activity for months.

Return the radio, you ain't listening to P25 encrypted comms.
Trunk system is still up in the air, also might be only for media with encrypted keys.
