does anyone know I can't hear clark county so on my uniden bcd396xt
Reception north of the state line in Memphis is practically zero for me. I drove down to Desoto County last night and couldn't pick up the control channel until almost to the state line. I had both Desoto County sites programmed.

Clark SO... As far as we know is NOT on the MSWIN. They have VHF Conventional freqs, and have the lic for an MotoTRBO TRS of thier own. If they are on the VHF, you should be able to pick them up fine by programming in the Narrowband freqs, leave the Tones blank as we do not know if they have changed tones. Once you hear them and log the tones in use, submit them to us. If they are on the new TRBO multisite UHF TRS, then you can log the CC's in use, but will NOT be able to hear the audio without running DSD software, and thats only if they are not running encryption. If they are on the MSWIN, then you will need to run wildcard searches for unknown TG's. If you find them on the MSWIN please submit the TGID's.

The only users up that way Matthew at this time are only the State Level Agencies, and unless MHP, MDOT, MEMA, F&W, MFC are busy, there probably won't be a lot of traffic on the MSWIN until other users jump on up that way. Currently DeSoto, and Tunica Counties both run on thier Legacy Motorola systems. I would expect both to be upgrading before too long though as both are aging systems and support for them is going to be harder and harder to come by. Not sure how the finances are in DeSoto County as to if they would go just getting MSWIN subscriber units, switching the whole net over to MSWIN, or building thier own new system. Tunica has the tax base from the casinos to be able to go any of the 3 routes ( if they didn't have the casinos,.. they would be hard pressed any way you look at it.)
I've heard MDOT when I was up in that area, but that's all I heard on MSWIN there. Of course I think you can hear MDOT everywhere on the MSWIN system! lol
You bet you cn hear em... Taking another break.... LOL! And of course MDOT-E running checks etc.... I imagine if and when DOC ever gets on, you will start hearing a lot of trafic from transfers all over the place... And in the areas near the satellite facilities, and the primary facilities prison ops. I am pretty sure the fugitive and warrent guys will be encrypted, and possibly the probation/parole guys too. Also kind of surprising we have not ID'ed the F&W parks ops stuff yet.

Thanks. I'm aware of which counties are running what systems and well aware of Tunica's tax base. (Remember I grew up in Mississippi)
Just making an observation that there was no traffic while I was listening. MHP is somewhat busy in that area, but not on that day.

Greenwood MHP is now using the MSWIN system. Heard them yesterday afternoon for the first time.
I've recently heard New Albany and Batesville on MSWIN as well. They are also still using VHF low some too. I heard one New Albany MHP unit on a new, unlisted talkgroup calling a "C" unit, but I wasn't quick enough to store it and I didn't get a good enough look at what the number was. I do know it was in the 14000 range.

Heard New Albany MHP yesterday, for the first time. But my scanner (home patrol while scanning with the full database using a GPS) stays on the MSWIN site about 5 seconds. I have locked out every thing except for district 4 troop F, or I think so.
Is there a way to get the Home Patrol to scan MSWIN site faster?

I wish I could help you Bee, but I have no experience whatsoever with the Homepatrol. You might have a better shot at an answer by asking in the Uniden portion of the forums, where there are many experienced owners.

During a trip to Memphis yesterday, I heard a good bit of traffic on MSWIN. A couple of new users that I heard on MSWIN were Marshall county and Benton county. Also heard DMR-OPS, which I'm guessing was over on the Mississippi river.

Yes, the database here on RR has it listed under MSWIN as TG 13, so if you've already got all the talkgroups programmed for MSWIN, you'll just need to change the alphatag.
Where did you see that in the DB? I looked under the counties section and didn't see anything.
That is one of the talkgroups used for testing and/or demonstration purposes, and it's listed under the MSWIN Maintenance section. It more than likely won't be used by Benton County after they are finished testing.
According to an Alabama dealer, Benton County is looking at purchasing Relm KNG or Motorola APX series radios to use on MSWIN. Not exactly sure which agencies will join. What kind of traffic did you hear bama9999?
Dispatch and S.O. units talking back and forth. Routine traffic.
