Ok so i was at the Pocahontas site this .morning, and the lcn frequencies are in correct order.
And the system is fully set up on that site.
As far as i know the wjtv or the mspbs tower will be next and showing the neighboring sites as jackson downtown tower or bant, and ridgland and yazoo city.
From where i live the signal is not good so when wjtv or rge pbs site is up i will have more.
So lets have dun and hope the lsm is tolerable.

Ok with all of the changes with The MSWIN I would like any and all of the UIDs in a Spreadsheet. Also any and all audio files from the following the radios (ie x36, Whistler/GRE).

Especially along I-55.

please send them to me @ fullerdaid63601@gmail.com.

Ok big thanks

Most interesting, there are now it appears, 2 800 MHz MSWIN Hinds County Simulcasts. I am willing to bet one is East, other is West, or one is North, other is South. Will take some creativity to figure out which is which.

Anyone know if the Clinton SOW is offlined yet?

Phase II NOTE

ALL MSWIN sites can support TDMA usage, so remember that when an unit affiliates with any site uses TDMA, that site will go TDMA until the unit no longer is using it. So if an MHP Troop C D1 unit roams into an District not using TDMA, and calls Jackson, that site will go TDMA until that trooper stops using the site. Then the site will return to FMDA use. In the MHP D1 area, if an FDMA user is using the site, it will be FDMA, but if an D1 trooper keys up, the site he is on, as well as the sites other D1 troopers are affiliated with, go TDMA until the use has ended. Keep that in mind folks.

I think (from watching a busy site with Pro96Com) only that particular talkgroup will switch. The other talkgroups will still use whichever is applicable for the radios affiliated with each talkgroup. Of course it may just be my local sites.

I think it's also worth noting, just as quickly and quietly as these alignment changes are made, things can go back as they were. I clearly remember forestry commission (MFC) being P2 at one time. Now in my area, it's consistently P1, and has been for sometime. MDOT maintenance was P1 at one time and now is almost always P2. MDOT LE is a different story, seems to be a little bit of both. MDOT Car 2 Car is always P2. F&W is almost always P2, except when a P1 radio gets in the mix, which is less and less these days.

You should read the MWCC minutes from couple of months ago, when they put it on record that officially ALL state agencies are to transition to Phase II TDMA ASAP and that MHP was already helping everyone get the radios set up. And they reinforced the plan to again tell ALL users that they MUST be getting Phase II TDMA compliant ASAP, and they better be ready to roll on primarily TDMA by 2020. They have given everyone plenty of notice, and time. Indeed they notified everyone that TDMA use officially began use well over an year ago, and have had it in writing that ALL new users must be TDMA capable unless there is special circumstances.

I just got to Vicksburg and setup my scanner. First thing I heard was Vicksburg PD on MSWIN and WCSO doing radio checks on both county system and mSWIn. Did Warren switch over finally? Sounds like it. Will be listening this weekend.

As of yesterday morning, Warren is not "fully" on MSWIN. I would hear every VPD units transmission, but not the dispatchers and then it would switch. Same for WCSO. Never did hear City or County fire on MSWIN either. Got frustrated and switched it back over to Warren Co 800mhz System so I could hear everyone. And Fire.

They're defiantly playing with it, but I wouldn't call it "fully switched over" yet.

The issue is, I won't be back in the area till possibly Saturday or next weekend. I'll give a report then but hopefully someone else can in the meantime.

Update on Warren County:

This weekend Vicksburg PD Main Dispatch and Warren Country SO Main Dispatch were operating both MSWIN and the old system simultaneously on P25 Phase 1. Fire/EMS & Other talk-groups were NOT on MSWIN and solely on the old system P25 Phase 1.

I did not hear any of the secondary PD/SO talk-groups or city/county fire & ems on MSWIN. For example: Vicksburg PD Records was heavily used on old system, didn't light up on MSWIN. It seems just the primary dispatch channels for PD/SO are the only talk-groups fully on both systems. But compared to last week, that is an upgrade. They are defiantly doing some work.

More updates next weekend as I have trips to the area planned for many weekends to come (and am now in possession of a DMR equipped 436HP which tells me Phase 1, Phase 2, X2, and all that jazz that my other scanner will not tell me. One stays on the County system and the other on MSWIN. So progress is very obvious.)

More to come! :)
