Hello PPL,
Here lately I have been hearing alot of activity on the following TG's,
3107
3108
I haven't had the chance yet to narrow it down to which agency it is, but I believe it's Apache Junction PD running on Mesa's P25 system.

I have confirmed it, 3107 is AJ Police dispatch, and 3108 is their tactical channel. I verified it listening to them on 155.62500 and 155.08500

Good deal. I kinda figured thats who was using those TG's, but like I was saying, I had no way of verifying it. Thanks for checking that.

New 700 MHz Sites

From what I have read, the PRWN plans on implementing expanded 700 MHz coverage in the Tempe area, by adding additional sites to improve radio coverage. Within the past few days, the FCC issued an STA, so work could be begin on the new 700 MHz aspect of the PRWN. Here is the information from the FCC:

I noticed this new FCC grant also, but keep in mind that the frequencies are all narrow band. In this post the frequencies have been rounded up to four decimal places. i.e. 771.1688 MHz should read 771.16875 MHz.

I have a very valid question as a former resident of the phoenix area, and avid montering fan of the valley fire system (my dad was a phoenix fire dispatcher for a good while)
here is my question

Is rual Metro going to be joining the new prwn system and if so as they are now a part of the old/new phoenix fire dispatch system.

and if not will they be making there own system?

I have noticed a lot of activity on H12 and H13 lately, none of it encrypted. Finally today I heard some chatter and a couple of the guys using the tg were Tempe PD. I am figuring this TG is being used my multi-agency taskforces. They are probably working on this new program they have where they say we are all one city or whatever. It is all in the clear though and makes for good listening.

New PRWN Site 208

Got a listing off of PRO96COMM for a site 208 with a control frequency of 770.40625. Was not able to hear the new frequency from here in Chandler. Anyone else hearing it?

What frequencies are these TG's operated off of?

Peoria PD

Ok, so I am trying to listen to Peoria PD's new digital system, but when I input the control channel frequency of 771.56875, my BCD996T automatically changes the fequency to 771.5687 and cuts of the last 5. The scanner receives 2 bars of signal strength, but does not pick up any audio and does not stop on any channels that might be transmitting.

Is there a way to set the scanner to allow the WHOLE frequency?

Thanks!!

Don't think so. If you search for this question in the Uniden forum, I think you'll find that it comes under the heading of "close enough to the frequency to work".

OK folks, have a question for you. Recently, a submission for talk group on this system was submitted as a patch channel. The submitter could not ID the user. The frequency is in the TG range for Interop related activity, TG 2853. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Hi John,

I am also trying to identify 2853. I'm not certain, but I'm thinking it might be Tolleson. I'll keep listening for it. Can anyone else confirm?

As I have mentioned in previous threads, Phoenix PD does not work very well in the North Valley, specifically the Anthem area. I have been getting somewhat good reception now (if I move my antenna around) due to the placement of their new substation in Anthem, west if I-17.

Most likely the radios are bouncing off of the repeater at the Anthem Outlet Mall. Unless anyone knows if they placed a new repeater in the area?
