Glendale PD will soon be updating their system. All channels, with the exception of A1 & A4 (the main dispatch channels) will be going encrypted.

TGID 3082 for Mesa Fire?

I picked up some radio traffic this morning on Talk Group ID 3082 related to 3 helicopters on standby for an accident in the East Valley. I only heard the tactical call signs of "command" and "alarm". Unfortunately, I was commuting and wasn't able to pay close attention. I don't see this ID in the database, but it sounds like a tactical channel for Mesa / Gilbert FD.

Yeah I heard that also, I think it's possible a new tactical channel for MFD/GFD all that sounded like training to me.

Was that talkgroup heard on the Mesa/East Valley TRWC system or the Phoenix/West Valley-ish system? They did split apart, didn't they?

It may be that another talkgroups thread is in order.

Also looks like the name of this thread is one of the last remnants of the PRWN name.

I heard it off of the TRWC.

No, I know what he's talking about - PhoenixPD. Geez, I've never come across so many encrypted talkgroups in my life. It's not just A Deck, it's most of the system. And yeah, they do move alot of stuff over to A16 or A1 for little more reason than "Hey the media just showed up." We need the media to jump up and down and ***** about it again, maybe then something will be done about it. Until then, not much we can do about it.

Is this why I am not picking up any Phoenix PD channels from Gilbert or am I just to far away. The info on RR shows Phoenix as digital only?

Too far away. You might get something off of simulcast C now and then for Phoenix. Other than that, nope.

Speaking of simulcast C, I still haven't found any info that explains when they will expand it and bring Chandler onto the RWC. Anyone else happen to hear any news on that? Once this is complete we should have a much easier time receiving Phoenix PD out here.

Is there any antennas that might help pull in Phoenix signals from Gilbert? Seems like with all the towers they have you would be able to pick it up. Does that mean if a phoenix patrol officer came to gilbert he would not be able to hear or transmit on his radio? I am new at this so just trying to learn what I can from experienced scanner listeners.

White Tank IR Frequency Change

Last week I programmed in the frequencies listed for the White Tank IR in Radio Reference and it worked great at my location in Surprise. I checked for an FCC license for the site using the control channel frequency and was unable to locate one, but I found a different license WQLJ593 with different frequencies and programmed them in but heard nothing.

This morning, Monday, May 24th, they are using the new set of frequencies on White Tank, the old frequencies are gone.

White Tank IR has the many of the talk groups from System G including Peoria PD, Surprise PD, El Mirage PD and the Phoenix Fire decks.

I don't think they'll be completely on the new freqs till 0200, but the migration should be happening.

Tg 1731

A unit from TG 1731 is connected to White Tank from time to time. I cannot find this TG in any of the lists I have access to. Can anyone help?

Would someone please submit a formal entry for the database, so I have a reference for the change in history please :)

Also, please verify that the other frequencies associated with the callsign WQLJ593 are also active, not just the CC frequencies.

Thank you,
