Listening to SEMA 3 this morning, sounds like tomorrow at 10 a.m. the complete cut-over to P25 will occur. The announcer said that all sites in the OKWIN system will then be P25 with the exception of Baker Peak.

I heard OKC Site A analog will go sunset Tuesday of next week (12-15-2020) if I heard it right.

The net director specifically mentioned OKC Site 8 in the announcement. Also Tulsa and Lawton sites.

We received an email that said 10 am next Friday for Lawton:

Good Afternoon,

Next Friday on December 11th, 2020, please expect site trunking from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On December 17th, 2020, Lawton Simulcast Repeaters will be upgraded to P25 digital. This upgrade on 800 radios will take approximately 10-30 mins between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. When radios are back up, they will need to be switched over to P25.

If you are aware of any radios in your department that may need a P25 patch, please let CCEM know as soon as possible. Please pass this information along to any pertinent parties. We will send out a reminder email the week of the upgrades.

If you have any questions, please contact Michael Merritt at the EOC at (580) 355-0535

Well, we knew it would happen sooner or later. Analog is going away.
I heard the same announcement Wednesday morning by Gayland Kitch, Moore Emergency Management Director:

Site 8, Oklahoma City switches to P25 next Tuesday.
SIte 19, Lawton switches on Thursday (December 17 is Thursday).

That only leaves only site 29 Baker Peak, which will be switched when the site can be accessed.

Normally, we wait until a system is operational before entering it in the database. In this case, I'm going to make an exception. I'm going to build the digital site and updated talkgroups (based on X16 ) so we can have scanners at least basically programmed before the switchover. I will verify what I can ahead of time and continue verification as we go along.

Sounds like OKC is testing all their radios for OHP Troop-A both mobiles and handhelds right now.

Where is Midwest City? I hear EMS on the analog system, I hear OKCPD on P25, but can't find out where Midwest City PD went...

These frequencies don't seem to be part of the OKWIN system. They are licensed to the city of Edmond, not the state, so I would suppose they are only for Edmond's use. There is also 853.3750 and 853.7250 on the license. Before they joined OKWIN, Edmond had their own trunking system, so maybe these frequencies are leftovers from that system.

The other 3 frequencies are also listed on other licenses at other OKC area simulcast sites.

Some OKWIN frequencies are licensed to the state and some are licensed to various cities. They can overlap.

You can find the Midwest City conventional frequencies in Sentinel under
USA/Oklahoma/Oklahoma/County Systems/Oklahoma/Municipalities-Midwest City.
Just right click on Municipalities-Midwest City and select append to favorites list, and pick the favorites list you want to add to.

Noticed terrible RSSI on the south side of OKC with both of our mobiles and portables. Radios displayed Site 2. Site 40 used to get good strength even outside of the city. Our radios would normally affiliate with Normans site but they didnt.
