Midwest City PD is also on the East Central Oklahoma Emergency Communications Network (ECOECN for short).
Well, we knew it would happen sooner or later. Analog is going away.
I heard the same announcement Wednesday morning by Gayland Kitch, Moore Emergency Management Director:
Site 8, Oklahoma City switches to P25 next Tuesday.
SIte 19, Lawton switches on Thursday (December 17 is Thursday).
That only leaves only site 29 Baker Peak, which will be switched when the site can be accessed.
Normally, we wait until a system is operational before entering it in the database. In this case, I'm going to make an exception. I'm going to build the digital site and updated talkgroups (based on X16 ) so we can have scanners at least basically programmed before the switchover. I will verify what I can ahead of time and continue verification as we go along.
Question-trying to reband Home Patrol-1 units for work, did Sentinel database & firmware update this morning, radio reference says rebanding is supported on this scanner. No luck with updated database. Scannermaster.com says Home Patrol 1 supports P25 phase 1, but it does not receive P25 phase 2 signals. Do I need to get a new scanner that gets P25 phase 2 in order to monitor OKWIN? Main interest is OHP Troop A.Well, we knew it would happen sooner or later. Analog is going away.

Midwest City PD went to their own channel several months ago, apparently because their OKWIN freq was getting interference from something. It’s listed in RR. 854.1125.Where is Midwest City? I hear EMS on the analog system, I hear OKCPD on P25, but can't find out where Midwest City PD went...
I did a force write of the full database on both scanners and it worked! So, all is now good. I can hear everyone againI

You can only receive sites that are near you.Another Question... I'm setting up a list called OHP Out of Area. In case I decide to travel outside Troop A area. Do I need to load all the OKWIN P25 sites? Would I be able to hear any of these sites from Troop A's area?
I'm sitting here watching the Lawton site on Unitrunker. Hopefully the band conditions will stay good for another hour or so.On December 17th, 2020, Lawton Simulcast Repeaters will be upgraded to P25 digital. This upgrade on 800 radios will take approximately 10-30 mins between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. When radios are back up, they will need to be switched over to P25.
Hope this cuts down on radio outages!
Hey Tom,
Yes.Hey Tom,
Just looking at your UniTrunker output here.
Did 856.7125MHz ever come up as a voice channel, or no?
That's what I expected. The OKC P25 site has two new voice channels. And the neighboring sites started showing up today.Yes.
On the old system 851.2375 and 856.7125 and the Alt CCs were not used often. I think they were for overflow only.
On the P25 system they have a lot more traffic but in the short time was able to run Unitrunker on it 851.2375 looks normal and 856.7125 had about half the hits as the others.
