I don't think I have ever heard the Oklahoma County sheriff on either the analog OKWIN or the P25 one. I hear them only on their direct analog channels or on the ECOECN trunked system.
OCS is linked to Oklahoma City APCO P25 PII (TDMA)

I don't know why the Tulsa site was deleted from the OKWIN system, it is still active.
Guess I got ahead of myself. My source told me everything was switched to P-225 except Baker Peak (and that was only because they have issues accessing the site)

Does anybody know if oklahoma county sheriff is on the okwin p25 i have not heard them
The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Department has an agreement with Oklahoma City for multiple talkgroups on the Oklahoma City P25 system. Dispatch is on talkgroup 369 and it is linked to 460.350MHz.

Oklahoma County Eastern Net is not currently on the OKC System. It is, however on the East Central Oklahoma Emergency Communications Network talkgroup 3141. This is a link to the UHF repeaters on 460.400MHz and 460.550MHz.

So, with this switchover, does this signify an official transition in that we can speak directly on to OKC Div radios without the OKWIN link for their channels?

Yes, the 800MHz radios assigned to Oklahoma County Sheriff's Deputies (including Courthouse Security) are on the Oklahoma City P25 system. Main Dispatch is still linked to 460.350 MHz. I believe there will be a link to the OKWIN system. I have heard the radio techs working on it but it is not currently active.

My bad. I’m not county. Just meant that is this update to digital bring us all onto Phase II where the link is no longer needed between our radios and access to OKC’s system thus eliminating some of the delay and distortion the link created.

If im understanding your question correctly your asking if the upgrade brings every agency up to speed with the same technology. The short answer is no. OKWIN which is now Phase I and OKC which is now Phase II are completely different radio systems. Links will still need to be used. Some of the links are always active and some are only active when a radio changes to that channel. A lot of agencies in OK that use OKWIN use older radios that cannot access Phase II systems which is why DPS decided to upgrade to just Phase I (plus $$$$$ issues) which is why OKC and Lawton took so long to upgrade. However if you have a phase two capable radio it can transmit and receive both Phase I and II. Hopefully this answers your question.

That answered it. Just didn’t know which phase OKWIN was on. Since ours are Phase II capable may just bring up adding the city’s Harris system in lieu of the links to the programming. Thanks.

Hi there!

I am trying to reach Fast2OKC. I cannot figure out how to send a PM (not smart enough... :))

You should have my email address. Please drop me a note - I have a question for you (for a change).

Thanks!

Why am I hearing Tulsa County Sheriff and Noble county on the Oklahoma City site? I don't remember hearing those talk groups on the old Motorola system.

There was a lot of training this week at OKC for Troopers, not sure if area LEO'S were involved too but if a system user goes out of area then his radio trunks to the closet site as well as that dept's traffic. If this has been going on for more than this week then something else is going on.

If your OKWIN radio is set to Podunk PD Dispatch and you drive your cruiser to OKC, you drag that TG with you. There are limits on which groups can be dragged where, but if someone is range of your local site, you hear their TG's traffic.

This is not new.
