I’ve been noticing that the last few days I’ve not heard anything any trunked towers. It’s been pretty quiet lately. My bcd536hp is working fine on the vhf side but not hearing any 800 traffic?

Which sites are you scanning?

I don’t know because I’m not always near it .. But where I’m located at I receive DAT and P25 and I have 2 bars of signal coming in. Lately it’s been quiet and I run 2 bcd536hp and I can not put up an outside antenna so I’m using the REM 800 rubber duck .

Try using site hold to scan only the creek county site.

@KOK5CY you could be suffering from simulcast distortion. Mannford's in between two sites of Creek County's 5 site simulcast. You can read about what it is and try the multipath mitigation methods in the wiki linked (may or may not work) below but ultimately you'd be better off with a Uniden SDS100, 150 or 200 to bring in systems with simulcast sites.

I figured it out the sd card needed an update and now it’s working again.

I’ll have to start looking at doing monthly updates

I’m going to look at getting a sds200 . Thought I had it fixed yesterday and now it’s just scanning . It’s very odd that Friday all day it was receiving Creek and Okmulgee county and now nothing like the Sd card is empty. So I’ll just have to buy a sds200 .
