I'm going to be driving across Ontario. Are there set OPP frequences I can scan as I move from one area to another. Sorry to be so basic... but Im new to this.
Thanks

If I just wanted to listen for traffic or accident tie-ups, detours etc ... which would be the appropriate category
thanks again

Listen to the area talkgroups for the OPP and MTO.

In order for you to listen you will need a scanner capable of tracking the fleetnet system, you cant just enter in frequencies.

you can get fleetnet on any scanner but you will have to leave out the primary control channel and just program the voice channels and hit scan button when you hear digital noise from opp and mtoe you will be able to get mto maintenace and ems and all analog talkgroups

If you add VR01, VR02 and VR03 you can hear when a car is nearby...the BEAT repeaters come in useful too as well as the MTO VR CARRIER channel.
