Only listening to the Fire/EMS on the new system and hear everything clear. I am in the town of Orange, Eastern side.
It might be helpful to identify the scanners being used. One of you may have a Phase II scanner that was designed to handle simulcast and one of you may not. Or maybe neither of your scanners was designed for simulcast but one of you is in a better location that cuts down the distortion. Most models of Phase II scanners on the market are not considered fully compatible with simulcast systems.
SDS-100, SDS-200, I have not programmed my Unication G5 as of yet for the new system. All clear audio is being heard on the system. The 200 has been scanning for a week solid with 36 confirmed hits. I will be pulling the log hopefully this weekend to see what is new that was found.
You are correct, some are SCOPS but, they have not had interoperability with Orange until now. I thought per FCC rules this was not allowed with private companies and state/ local systems going in today. I might be wrong with that but, I can tell you those security guards do not need access to something they know nothing about. Enough people in LOW have been hurt and or even passed on because of their shortcomings over the years.
LOWA Rescue squad and Fire have always been active on the systems. LOWA Security, however, was never had until this new system. I know as I lived there for many years and was a big unsupported HOA due paying citizen of them. Even before Allied took over seven or eight years ago.
