Just ordered a SDS 100 with a REM-820S from scanner master and look forward to listening again. For those of you with the SDS 100 how well does it handle the local counties here on P25 1&2?

I've never had an issue with my SDS 100 in any Virginia county that uses P25 simulcast.

Talk group 401 showed up tonight on my SDS100. Conversation sounded like dispatch relaying information to LOW security about a call there.

I heard 401 briefly a couple of days ago while in eastern Orange, but it was encrypted. I was running the SDS200 in my truck in ID Search at the time.

Same sort of information was given to LOW security again on talk group 100. Hearing encryption on this talk group sporadically. Also seeing TG 401 and 701. Both with and without encryption.

Can someone do me a favor and see if you're also hearing unencrypted traffic on the Orange system under talk group 723? I'm absolutely sure it's Madison as I know the locations they are mentioning/dispatching to. Although I do have the DMR unlock I do not have Madison programmed into my SDS100. Actually nothing is loaded into it except the Orange system.

I am listening for a bit tonight to see if I hear locations mentioned. This will be a simulcast of Madison Sheriff. I hear mention to an address in wolftown. I'll send an update.

I agree it is Greene. Unit called "Greene" on the radio.

Anyone using a BCD325P2 to monitor this system? I ordered one for my brother in law as a birthday gift and it is having trouble with it. It's receiving analog fine in my tests but weak or none at all signals on all the control channels in the Orange system.

Disregard. See it's a simulcast issue. I've ordered him a sds100 and will be sending the BCD325P2 back.

Unit 62 (sheriff office) just gave his end of trip mileage unencrypted on talk group 101.

For reference in regards to unit # structure
Sheriffs Office - 1-99
Orange Town Police - 100-199
Gordonsville Town Police - 200-299

Seems to be a patch. Doesn't seem to be active all the time.
