Ottawa FleetNet 142.830

Anyone else noticing CC 142.830 is a dead carrier? It seems to have started around 4am ET today.

Looks like they flipped the switch. 142.830 isn't listed as the primary CC in RR. It's secondary CC 142.095 is active, but im decoding it as site 001-074 which is the LMRN Ottawa Site.

I guess the fun is now over.

Update: Dead carrier is gone. New CC frequency is 142.680

I think they were doing some testing on the new system as I was not detecting any CC's, but I was listening on the Kinburn site and EMS was doing a lot of radio checks. It was like this from about 3:22am to about 7:30'ish am.

It might have been. I wasn't around when it was happening. I have Unitrunker set to chase, so if it was flip flopping, it would follow.

I also want to mention, I don't think its a good idea for the RR admins to remove frequencies for the CARLSL site (or any site). What's happened is the CARLSL frequency lineup has been changed on RR and now it has 3 CC's listed. There use to be 15 frequencies listed with 1 CC and 1 backup CC. Now we have 9 freqs listed with 3 CC's.

But I kept all of the original 15 freqs and the system is working. Anyone who is downloading or programming a scanner based on the current RR database for CARLSL, will be missing some freqs.

I am not poo'ing on the admins, I'm simply saying - keeping the freqs is prolly a good thing, even if they the same freqs that are shared with the LMRN system.
