I programmed the frequencies from this site for Overland Park Ks. and I am not hearing anything. I am sure I put them in right. Anyone out there that has the frequencies and talk group id's could you pass them my way so I could make sure. Thanks.

Mark, if your scanner is GRE, make sure you start the freqs in channel 1 through 5. Use a conventional freq in channel 0 or lock it out.

I scan OP both directions traveling through on I-435 and it works well for me. I might add, those are the same TG's in my Win92/95/96 and ARC785 software.

Mark,

Overland Park does not talk much on the radio, They are using Laptop computers to make and receive calls. You can't monitor the Laptops they are all encypted.

Once in awhile you will hear them talking on the radio.

I dont know if my scanner is GRE or not. To be honest with you I dont even know what GRE means. :? I just bought a new Uniden BC246T.And the fact that they use laptops really sucks if you ask me. Thanks to both of you for the information.

GRE is a scanner manufacturer that makes scanners for Radio shack and other companies.

I turned on the Overland Park bank trunked system and I am hearing them talking. I don't normally hear them much but today they seem to be talking more freely.

The Bearcat 246T is a very good scanner. If you are fairly far from Overland Park you might not be able to pull the signal in with your stock antenna. I would suggest getting an 800mhz antenna for your scanner. Your trunking agenices will come in much better.
