PA Statewide P25 Phase 2 System

like things have trickled to a slow craw. Only three new ones since September
2015....

Well, they're moving towards a new VHF/UHF system nonetheless. The OpenSky system, at least for PSP, is going away.

Funny there has been no licensing in NW PA, since that is where the testing is supposed to begin this year. I live in Erie, so I'm real interested in the latest developments. We also have a DCNR state park here (Presque Isle) that is on Opensky too.

Thanks - great info! So do you think the state police and the DCNR state park will both use these freqs? And it will be a trunked P25 Phase 2 system?

The general thinking is this will be part of the new system but it's anyone's
guess. I would assume the state police will utilize this system and others ?

Would think P-25 Phase 2 but will have to wait and see...

I'm hearing some voice traffic on 155.97 in Erie County on my BC996BCD. I haven't identified it yet. I assume it can't be from the new system yet?

The contract has not actually been awarded yet because one of the bidders filed a complaint over the process. This was mentioned during the recent legislative budget hearings for PSP. Apparently, the complaint is under legal review currently. The company that filed the complaint and the exact nature of the complaint were not discussed. With that in mind, I am going to go ahead and say nothing new is in the air just yet.

I believe I found 2 more sites that look to be part of this system, both are in Fulton county, first one is on the west side near the Bedford/Fulton border and the second is on the east side near the Franklin/Fulton border.

Thanks for great input. I must have dozed off the last round and missed a

The list is getting large and the basic text list I'm using is going to
be hard to navigate. Think I will try to stuff everything in a database soon
so I can sort by various categories. I would welcome input regarding
