Site 62 online

CAMB02 is reporting site 62 155.4600 online. FCC search indicates HUNT01 Huntington being the closest.

CAMB02 is reporting site 62 155.4600 online. I'm receiving nothing here

Thanks for the update!

Site 62 / 155.46 cc is probably going to be:

HUNT01 - Huntingdon / Loop Lookout Tower (Huntingdon)
40.49683, -78.13138
WQUY467
154.1675
154.905
155.46

Is there anyone reading this who is within range of the Huntingdon site and can check for a control channel on 155.46 / obtain relevant site details and peer/neighbor information using Pro96Com, DSDPlus, or Unitrunker?

This question isn't specific to you, Dan. I'm just wondering if the collective group of people who participate in this thread and who can directly hear Site 39 have come to an agreement that Site 39 is SOME02 ?

1. Clearly some "Site 39" is online
2. Clearly that sight is in SWPA based upon neighbor lists
3. But has anybody been able to determine by a more definitive means that the site is SOME02?

I only ask because from an FCC license aspect, SOME02 can't be confirmed because they are using the 161 mhz frequencies which do not track back to an applicable FCC license.

I'd like to update my Google map, but I'm just would like to know if there is strong consensus by those of you who can directly monitor Site 39 that it indeed is SOME02.

Tnx

Just reported as unconnected neighbors from neighboring sites thus far. Nobody has confirmed them as actually being on air.

Yep. That one makes no sense either.

It's not always closer that matters, but yes you would think Kittanning would be a neighbor. I figure that was not because you would drive through INDI01 or ALLE41 before getting to ARMS32 (Kittanning). Really, INDI01 should be a neighbor of WEST30, too (more so than INDI07).

And then looks like today they pulled 38/INDI07 as a neighbor. So it makes sense now.

If you have DSDPlus / Pro96Com / Unitrunker and can obtain the site neighbor/peer listings off of one or more sites, please post both the neighbor sites as well as their corresponding CC frequencies (both which will show up in the neighbor/peer list).

I'm sure that for many sites, there aren't going to be any changing neighbor lists any time soon, but for other sites neighbors will change over time as newer [closer] sites come online and they remove the further away neighbors from the list.

Thanks

Mike

Anyone in Erie County hear the Game Commision this weekend? Thought I would being trout season. I have heard them in the past, but it's been quite awhile.

PA Fish and Boat Commission is the primary law enforcement arm for the fishing and boating regulations. PA is one of a handful of states where fish and game remain two separate agencies. In some areas, there is cooperation between PFBC officers, PGC officers, and DCNR rangers. Since they are all spread pretty thin across the state, they do assist one another with enforcement of their respective natural resource laws.

With that said, PFBC conservation officers do not have their own dispatch facilities. They still work on low band or on the local county systems for their assigned county. PFBC has very limited funding available for things like communications. I always thought it odd that they didn't contract with the PGC dispatch centers but, then again, being separate commissions, that brings along funding complications if PFBC supplied some funding to staff additional dispatcher hours throughout the year.

I've always thought it would make sense to have a consolidated dispatch system for these various natural resource law enforcement entities we have here in PA. New Jersey has a central dispatch, but all their various fish, game, parks, forests, env enforcement people fall under the same big umbrella of their NJDEP. It could have been a good re-use of those regional dispatch centers PSP built and then refused to use.

Note the control point. First Energy has been a long time partner of the original OpenSky Starnet system.
