• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

    Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

    If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

    To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

    The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

    For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hello;

Would anyone have the latest wideband tool for the PD386G HT? Gigaparts sent me the tool however it is for an older version of the firmware. My firmware is vA8.01.03.005.

If you have the wideband tool for this radio, I would like to hear from you. It doesn't look like GigaParts will have the latest version anytime soon.

Thanks folks!

Do you have a PD 386 G or do you have a PD 682 like the title says? You probably mean PD362 anyways.

If GigaParts is truly partnered with Hytera they should have no problem getting that CPS Super License as it is an electronic thing that can be emailed to them. As a dealer, I have it but I cannot share it. If I sell a PD Series radio that has to be wide banded I just have to hit it before it leaves the shop then the customer can do whatever they want.

Thanks for your response Dave. My mistake. It is in fact a PD 682 G model. I do have a copy of the Super License for the MD782, but it won't work on my HT.

Thanks for bringing the error to my attention. I will see if I can edit the original post.

Can you tell me what version of CPS you're using and do you have the 8.01.03.005 F/W in both? I'm playing a little bit in customer files and I'm seeing some issues to where some versions of firmware I can modify Channel spacing in other versions of where I cannot.

As mentioned in the other forum, you needed to apply the wideband tool BEFORE you upgraded the firmware. This was clearly noted in the notes provided by Gigaparts. However, they might be updating the tool to fix this issue.
