Low Acuity. They respond to medical calls only, BLS or less kinda thing if I'm not mistaken.

Here's a YouTube video of Chandler's low acuity program from 2016. Several departments around the Valley have low acuity/community paramedic programs. It's the equivalent of an urgent care vs an ER in the field, and frees up ALS units for more serious cases.

There is a difference between the LA & MR Units. The MR Units have 4 personnel with Medic(s).
