$031 - Cedar Hills
$032 - Dallas
$037 - Kilgore
$038 - Hillsboro
$043 - two locations of Montague and Dallas
$044 - DFW Metroplex

$05x series for Houston

Happy hunting

You might be receiving stuff from the DFW area since there has been good tropo conditions the past few days. You will have to keep an eye on them and see if the signal strength changes druing the day or if they disappear completely for long periods. That can be difficult to do because the feds usually don't talk that much.

The short data bursts on P25 conventional repeaters indicate they are probably part of an IP linked vote-scan system.

163.625, 163.700 & 170.9875 are probably CPB/ICE on one of the Cedar Hill TV towers but I don't know what NAC they are currently using there. They could be someplace else.
171.6625 is probably CBP/ICE or DEA.
165.2125 is used by the US Secret Service in a lot of places but could be something else. Years ago it was reported with NAC 001 at Bush's house in Dallas.

Tom, the skip was awesome this morning. Was tracking Seagoville FCI crystal clear which isn't an everyday occurrence.

Bill, thanks for that info. I figured the 031 was ICE but the capture of the C00 on 171.6625 was nice but still stumped who uses that NAC. Never seen the C00 NAC before.

410.800 731N is FPS I believe, got that with traffic from the Federal Courts in Sherman, TX.

Thanks Gentlemen!

$C00 was likely coming from the East, been seen on that same Freq during band opennings in Atlanta [Circa 2014]

Well, here is something to tear into. All acquired election day 100 miles NNE of Dallas. I have combed the wiki and identified some of it, but there is plenty that remains unknown. Unfortunately I do not have NAC or PL's to make identifying any easier but here is the list.

152.81 - a Part 22 freq - heard brief encoded NAC 293 TG2 with similar RIDs as often hear on 171.6875: 81610###, this one was 8164023.
171.6875 heard before 99% end but when un-enc mentions warrants and Kanas City.
Never seen a Part 22 used by feds!
FWIW YES I know MOSWIN uses both of these freqs but not low TG and Not these RIDs
any thoughts?

152.8100 is not being used by the FEDS, where did you get that impression ??

Part 22 would be State/Local/County Governments but not licensed for FEDS, they go thru NTIA

any thoughts?

NAC 293 is a generic NAC used when they are too lazy to program in another (like 023 PL code), I too have never seen Feds on Part 22.

@ecps22 - your question is the same as mine....why is it here?
I recorded it and unless it is an image I wanted to see if anyone else had heard Feds here.
The fact that it has the same TG & RIDs as a regular Fed Freq made it more unusual.
I KNOW it is Part 22 (as I stated in my post) .
Stranger things have happened!

No my question is/was

"Where do you get the impression that 152.8100 a Non Federal and Non NTIA Frequency are being
used by the Federal Government..."

How many hits, or was this a one-hit wonder?
I have seen many a scanner report a FALSE positive as well as have image issues.

and then the other comment I made was

Part 22 would be State/Local/County Governments but not licensed for FEDS, they go thru NTIA
Also 171.6875 is part of the Trunk system at multiple MO Sites which is an NTIA channel
turned over to the FCC for MO's system, as specific sites only.

I believe you could have received a mixing / image on 152.81 MHz. Back in the early 90's, I would receive my local FBI on a 146 MHz frequency when they were actually using 167.4625. Just my 2 cents.

On the other hand federal agencies use state and local systems on a regular basis for coordination, not for day to day business. State and local agencies use federal systems for the same purposes. This is covered by interagency agreements, however the involved agencies don't build systems of their own using frequencies allocated for other levels of government. Since this was a brief reception it seems to match such use.

i got a new one today, search and store 30-87mhz in fm mode got 53.825. tuned past it and heard clipped music, switched to wfm to hear country music. w/ seperate scanner ran thru 87-108 and it turned out to be 103.7fm broadcast.

Logged the following in Northeast Lancaster County, PA on Sunday evening.. I believe it to be the Lebanon VA or Fort Indiantown Gap, but not sure.

169.0125 NAC 293 (100% secure)
171.0125 NAC 293 (clear, facilities-type traffic)
171.4125 NAC 293 (100% secure, busiest of all)

I have logged these before in Lebanon pretty strong as well.

Just as a note. Most Fort Indiantown Gap and Muir AAF ground/base operations take place at this time on the State OpenSky TRS, which is being converted to P25 and integrated into the new system.

Good to know.. I don't make it up that way much but I figured this was either the Lebanon VA or FTIG. Maybe someone in the area can pinpoint it. "Building 17" was mentioned on the maintenance channel.
