Hello, I have successfully programmed my scanner for a trunked talkgroup, but now I have a problem. One of my cities has alot of encrypted chatter, and I do mean ALOT. Is there anyway to lock out that one channel that is encrypted and keep everything else?? Thanks

To Permanently Lockout an Object:
When the scanner stops on an object, press FUNC + the L/OUT button.
Or, In Manual or Program Mode,
Press or to select the Scan List where the object is located.
Press or to locate the object in the list.
Press FUNC + the L/OUT button.
The uppercase 'L' appears in the display to show the object is permanently locked out.

Note: By default, pressing the L/OUT button toggles a temporary lockout (on or off) and FUNC + L/O toggles a permanent lockout for an object. To change the L/OUT button to toggle a permanent lockout when pressed and FUNC + L/O to toggle a temporary lockout see Setting the Function of the L/Out Button.

Which county,state, and city are our monitoring? Welcome to RR

City of Bayonne, Hudson County, New Jersey. I just want to get the one channel in the talkgroup locked out. When it stops on the encrypted channel, I hit L/O, but it locked out the whole kit and kaboodle.

So are you talking about Police 2 which is encrypted. Try this see if it helps or not. It's probably no different then what HighPockets posted.

I don't know if it's possible or not make sure you did't lock out your scanlist.


1.)Press PGM
2.)Press the F2/Edit Key
3.)Press the F3/Find key
4.)Press the F1/L/Out key to find the Talkgroup you don't want
5.)Press the down arrow key to the L/Out and press the right arrow key to switch it to on to Lock it out
6.)Press the F1/Save key.
