I'm guessing that if you cannot program a LTR system in a P-95 the same is true for the P-96. Am i correct?

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

You are correct. The only PRO series that I can think of that will work with LTR systems are the PRO-92 & PRO-2067. There may be others, though.

The Pro97 and Pro2051 also work with LTR systems, according to the manuals. (I've never owned either one.)

They made the 97 with the LCN order to make it more accurate in tracking the LTR systems.

Not really. The 396T (and I assume the 246T) don't work the same way as the Pro-97. THe Pro-97 has banks and numbered positions in the banks. LCN's must be assigned to the proper slot in the bank to correspond with the LCN position of the frequency. The dynamic memory radios of Uniden (396T & 246T) don't work that way, you simply put in the frequency and then it asks you what LCN is assigned to the frequency. This allows you to put the freq's in any order and assign the LCN's in any order. Of course they must match the system LCN's.billsimpson771 said:
