I just picked up my second SDS200 today. I am trying to get it setup with ProScan, but I am having issues connecting the audio to the second scanner. All the settings between the two scanners are identical except for the IP address. I am able to connect to the scanner in proscan and see the display, but when I try to setup the audio, all I get is TCP Not Connected and UDP not connected. I have power cycled the scanner, disabled the IP and re-enabled, and changed the IP with no success. There isn't anything else connected to the audio stream. Any suggestions on what I can try next? Thanks!

You had one working setup and one that didn't work. On the working setup, swap in the scanner that didn't work that way you are using the same computer, router ports, cables, etc. You may have to check the IP address in the scanner and use same IP address in ProScan.

Just swapped out the non-working scanner with the working scanner. Swapped IP addresses and cables. Old scanner that was working works on the new IP address, the new scanner does not connect.

Can you ping the new scanner? (Open up a Command Prompt and type "ping a.b.c.d" where a.b.c.d is the IP address.)

I can, pings come back fine.
OK that rules out the Ethernet port on the SDS200 then. You did do the ping from the same PC that you are running Proscan on, yes?

I'm stumped. You said the old scanner works with the new IP, right? That would also tend to rule out a duplicate IP address.

But you said "Swapped IP addresses and cables." Were those two tests, or did you do them at the same time? In other words, do you now have the old scanner hooked to the same switch port using the same cable the new one was using originally, and with the 'new' IP address?

Oh, and which Proscan instance are you using? (You do have them in separate folders, right?) Are you using the "new" instance, or the old one with the new IP?

I turned off the working scanner, changed the ethernet cable from the working scanner to the non-working scanner. In the non-working scanner, I changed the IP address to the one used by the working scanner. So, same port in the router, same computer, still nothing. And I can get the data to display for the non-working scanner, its just not sending the audio through.

Hmmm. So you get the display via your network, yes? But no audio. It sure does sound like an issue with the scanner.

I might go into hiding, I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but I fixed it. Just a firmware update...
LOL. Don't worry about it. Glad you figured it out before you sent it back though!

So in the end it really *was* an issue with the scanner, but a fixable one. I will file this away in case someone else has the same issue in the future.

I have the exact same problem and cannot connect to the audio via the URL setup under the Remote Scanner Over IP. I have only one computer and one cable modem with a built in router. The wifi on the router is disabled and I am only connected by wired connections. I am 100% positive that I entered the correct IP address for the scanner. I am running Norton Internet Security and even tried turning it off and I did not solve the problem. I also tried selecting auto-detect and it finds my scanner and inputs the correct IP address. But still have the error “TCP Not Connected”. I experimented and set the com port to URL and entered the scanner IP address and I do connect to the scanner and can control the scanner but no audio. Any suggestions on how to fix my problem.

Make sure you update the firmware on your scanner. Try that first.

Try power cycling the scanner. Also insure you're not running AVG Antivirus software as that will interrupt TCP connections.

I just tried setting the PC to static address and the scanner to a static address. I then connected both directly to a spare 8 port switch that does not have a DHCP server. I am able to connect and control the scanner but no audio. So this eliminated the modem, router and the network from the setup. I am also using 2 different Cat 5 cables that are only 3 ft long. My antivirus software is also disabled.

Look at these
I adjusted everything to the settings in your screen shots and I have had a little success. I am now connected to the audio stream. The DB meters for the capture and playback are all now showing audio activity. Also the scope now shows audio activity, but I still do not hear the audio. I have the speakers selected as the "Output Sound Device". Also Proscan now shows up as an item in the windows sound mixer. The slider is at about 75% in the mixer and is not muted. So your setting did able me to connect to the url audio stream, but I do not hear the audio on the speakers. If I try playing a YouTube video I do hear that sound. Any one got any other suggestions.
