What’s the link to the program ?Hello! mine has done that too! i solved that today, i compiled the FW NOGIT after edit the line that includes delete AES passwd at the makefile, then i flashed the fw, then i flashed the original one and was fixed,tell me if you wanna mine already compiled .bin.

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.
The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Look for the ENABLE_RESET_AES_KEY , thats what you will need to change value from 0 to 1 on the makefile, the instructions are below or at the readme file.

hello dan, is there a way to find out what that pass code is with using that firmware? i have been seeing more and more k5(8) with this issue within the last 2 weeks on a fb quansheng group, after either egz or IJV being installed and than going back to stock firm, i found this thread after spending 4 days trying to figure out what went wrong after installing egz 0.22 and my screen completely pixeled out i even had to have quansheng remotely connect to my laptop to unlock it they insist they do not use a passcode with the k5-k6 for csp to workHello! mine has done that too! i solved that today, i compiled the FW NOGIT after edit the line that includes delete AES passwd at the makefile, then i flashed the fw, then i flashed the original one and was fixed
well i tried the firmware you sent in here and it might've bricked my radio... not sure but its not lighting up after uploading
disregard that last one....we're all good now.... the CPS is reading and writing without me having to tend with the password now

Well, i had this problem after flashing the IJV 3 at the radio, then i was tired of all settings and tried to go back to stock, then that happened. Egzumer i have little to zero experience, i used for about an hour, than flashed the IJV.

I have F4HWN 2.5 on mine, never any issues
STOCK, Portable radio update tools (V1.1.12)
I use CPS stock v.1.0.38 and K5prog_win V0.1,27, both on windows 10 with no issues at all.
Firmware is stock or IJV.
I have never encountered a password situation but a remark on Quansheng website says try qs12345.
