Question About Santa Clarita Area Freqs...

Recently picked up some equipment from the City of Santa Clarita that was on 470.075 and 471.025.

The 470 doesnt show in the DB at all except for something that seems unrelated, and the 471 shows up as a general Santa Clarita freq.

Anyone local to the area, is there traffic on either of these channels and if so what is it, and if not, was there some sort of upgrade for the city recently?

I've believe they have went MotoTRBO for public works and transit bus ops earlier this year.

When I was there in July their Pd (LACSO) was still on 482.8625.

They are a contract city with LA Co. Sheriff and Fire.

Per Db:
"For law enforcement see Los Angeles, County of (Sheriff). For Fire/EMS see Los Angeles, County of (Fire/EMS)"

Gotcha, thanks. This equipment was marked "CITY OF SANTA CLARITA", so it must have been their General Services, Transit, etc.

Picked up 2 mint 100 watt digital capable UHF /\/\ MSF5000 Repeaters ready for some HAM use

Ill probably keep one and have one for sale if anyone is interested.... can deliver to the LA area.
