Ok heres my question. its to my understanding that with win95 you can program in radio station frequencies. I have done this, and have programmed in a local fm radio station that is not very far from me at all. its a locally broadcasted station. however once its in the scanner and i goto the frequency it does not come in.
i know the broadcasts are wideband and the scanner does narrowband for that frequency range. but my question is, do i need to use a 5khz stepping when inputting the frequencies or 6.25khz stepping? Ive seen someone else here in town who has the same pro-95 scanner who had the same station programmed into his while i was at our local rat shack and the station was coming in. Is there something im not doing correctly? and in case your wondering why im wanting to tune radio stations, its because
when i go for a walk or otherwise id like to be able to take my scanner with me and headphones and listen to this station, and be able to also listen to local pd/fire/ etc with out having to carry both my scanner and my mp3 player/fm radio.
If anyone can explain to me how this can be done, it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.
