You don’t want it set to where you can read the channel names.
Ideal setting is to have the white line at around the 11 o’clock position.
Ok thanks for that. will this scanner pick up This ?

Does a radio shack pro 652 scan faster than a sds100? it kinda seems like it does.

with the sds100 when your scanning conventional freqs and you have like 8 different counties in your fav list it goes through the county names really fast and each of those counties have like 20 freqs in them and u don't see all those freqs as it's scanning . does it scan that fast that u can't see the freqs or does it not scan each freqs .

After 4 of these in my coffee, I can verify it scans that fast.

Will This Cable work with the radio shack pro 652? i noticed it doesn't say it does on the back . i dont' want to get the wrong one.

I am not a radio shack guy but I don't see the 652 listed

Ok i just learned something. so D means phase 1 and T is phase 2 ..

Not really.

D means DIGITAL and is not limited to just phase one or even P25. All digital tg's show in database as D. Nxdn, Dmr, P25 Tetra etc. Unless they are TDMA

T is TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) is not limited to just phase two. Its also used in DMR.

Can the pro 652 be recorded to a pc so you can see what channels it has stopped on? kinda like the sds100 does with proscan

As I have said you have very much to learn about 2way radios.
Repeaters and Repeater Controllers have options that installers can turn on and off each has a plus and minus.
But most installers turn on squelch tail with tone (what you are hearing) this works good where users are in the fringe and helps keep the repeater captured longer.

For logging and recording software for the pro652, look at arc500 pro.
