radio shack pro 97 repairs??:)

Did you take the package to RadioShack for them to ship it?
I believe the instructions state that you have to take the package to a UPS store for shipment. That could be the reason for the delay.

UPS does not stop at RadioShack for pickups, as RadioShack uses FedEx for all their shipments.

took label to radio Shack & they shipped UPS), was received by the Anewbiz peeps on Jan 10/07.. and am still waiting for m Gift card Grrrrrr. Also tried xcalling newbiz & email,, got th voice mail & no response on the email. should I call RS?.. am getting pisseed . will be 3 weeks on the 16th

Hey for some clarification. Scanners are repair items, so why are you having to ship your scanner back (unless if falls into the lemon thing they will have to ship it off to be repairs before they will offer some sort of replacement) I've never seen them offer a replacement without having the radio first. And determining that it is (as said on there repair sheets) not economical to repair.
The gift card is just a preloaded card with the amount that you paid+ tax if you got it while it was on sale they are going to give you the sale price. If you are lucky enough to have a manager who will give it to you at the sale price and break Radioshack's rules then go talk to him. Either he doesn't know that he isn't suppost to or doesn't care and will do what is right. If it is the latter he will probably know someone he can call to figure out what is going on.

ok got GC on sat the 13th for sale price when in got NEW Pro97 total time 16 days & 3 trips to the mall. 1st thing I noticed was the volume/squelch knob is lots better than on the other 1
