Not sure why I'm tagged in this? I don't have anything to do with it.
I know you're the head master 'round here, wasn't sure if you knew anything about it.
Blame @KevinC, he's used to it. :giggle:
Quoted you just because I love you a little bit
At least they didn’t blame me this time. See how it feels now? 😂
I was gunna tag you over mike but I couldn't get your name to popup and mikes came up first :ROFLMAO:

Mike's only responsibility is for the forums. The suit was a result of something posted in the Wiki, so technically my responsibility, not Mike's. Lindsay, aka The Great Blantoni, has overall responsibility for RadioReference.

Pay a visit to Priority Dispatch Corporation with a disabled friend and have them use their restroom. Then sue them for improper handicap accommodations. Negotiate the rest.
I will happily go by and do a slip and fall and be sure to use all of their proprietary codes for my many injuries in the lawsuit.

Yeah, I didn't know who to contact. I figured one eye might talk to lindsey more than anyone else.

Their product is apparently not very good.

I've mentioned this earlier in either this thread or another, but I've used their EMD stuff at a previous dispatching job, and I was not impressed. It trended towards full arrest and starting CPR way too soon in my opinion. Oh is Grandma breathing? You can't tell? Yank her by the heels until she falls to the floor and proceed to pump her chest. Oh her ribs are breaking? That just means you're doing it right. Keep going.

The whole thing is a scam to make money, and their certifications expire every two years, so they continue to do so. Thank God I'm a few years from retirement.

The issue is it's mainly intended to be an early-dispatch model. Good in theory but can get kind of really misleading.

For example a call we had recently came out as a house fire because according to the CAD notes supposedly the caller was not on scene (mapping was putting them a street or so away) and claimed they could see smoke from the structure.

So according to the IAED model from priority dispatch those first two details alone basically mean page the alarm card now while getting more details. Well shortly after that apparently CAD notes noted caller was in the house and it was just an outlet sparking w/ a circuit breaking.

I can understand wanting to try and streamline dispatching but yeah they seem to do theirs weird.

That said reading that news article it sounds like a major issue was with the phone call and dispatcher themself, because as far as I'm aware from our local dispatchers they can override or issue like immediate response stuff with a generic category if needed, but the dispatcher claimed in the case that they were not able to properly make out the address to put a dispatch to, though that makes me wonder why they weren't getting address/location data from the phone in some manner as you generally can't disable the E911 location settings outside of rooting a phone and doing it on purpose assuming it was a cellphone (which statistical likeliness it was)
