Good evening,
So for the Chicago area CN and Police, BNSF Police, and Metra Police are on SC 21. Amtrak Police, and Norfolk Southern Police are on VHF with Amtrak PD analog and Norfolk Southern Police NXDN. Union Pacific Police are on the diga-talk system but I haven't heard them in months. Can someone confirm if they are still on the diga-talk system? Also what do the CSX Police in the Chicago area use? Thanks.

I don't know about the Chicago area specifically, but CSX PD was known to use Nextel back in the day. They're probably using Wave Oncloud or a similar LTE based solution now.

Not verified but CP might be using ISICS in Iowa. One of their vehicles would be parked at the local Sheriff's Patrol HQs when not in use. Otherwise I have never heard railroad police in Iowa even though one or two rail company police had agreement to use the Iowa DPS radio system (the VHF repeaters). No idea if RR PDs use starcom over here on the Northwestern part of Illinois.
