Maybe it's just me, but I've been getting lots of decoding errors (audio break-ups) for the past couple weeks or so. I've noticed it while driving around the Northbrook, Glenview, Northfield, etc area. My SDS100 usually works perfectly on this system regardless of whether I use an external antenna or not. But, this system is getting more difficult to listen to as of late. I had a chance to do a side-by-side with my SDS100 and Icom IC-R30 (which can also properly receive P25 simulcast). Both used the same antenna, and I noticed that they both had signal/audio break-ups at the exact same time. On the SDS100, I tried changing the filters (I usually use Wide Invert) and the modulation, and the results were pretty similar. Again, maybe it's an issue on my end, but it's an issue that I never had before until recently.

Got an update about this issue. While I spent the past 2 weeks troubleshooting and trying different things to properly receive them, I'd hear the radio techs doing test transmissions at least once a day. As of a few days ago, I'm happy to say that this system is once again coming in loud and clear without any issues. For those monitoring with an SDS100/200, I do suggest enabling 'IFX' on both their freqs since it does seem to improve the RSSI levels (at least for me it does).

Radio techs did some testing earlier, and I noticed a new Dispatch Console RID of 184530. Also, the volume from this new RID is noticeably louder as well.

How do you like the Icom? Ive been considering one for a while now. Can it do CTCSS/NACS/DCS? How is the receive on UHF and the Air band?
