• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

What Topology? Capacity Plus or something else.

Why do you think it's connected to the Master?

RDAC works by connecting to the Master, receiving the advertised Master MAP and then decoding that, and displaying the components in the map.

Is this an IPSC system? I have had two different scenarios where repeaters on an IPSC system would not show up in RDAC.
-The first is when the repeater is functioning fine (repeaters local RF, repeats WAC, can be pinged on the local and remote LAN). If the UDP port programed into the repeater is not unique (because its used by another repeater or by RDAC), RDAC will have issues. Change the UDP port to a unique number and the issue was resolved.
-The other scenario is the repeater can be seen on the network via ping and LAN switch logs, but wont show up in RDAC. Also passes very poor WAC audio. The network card was locked up (but would respond to ping) and required a reboot. That was a bit difficult to troubleshoot remotely because the symptoms made it appear that the repeater was fine and the network had issues, but that was not the case.
Hope this helps give some troubleshooting ideas.

You didn't answer the Question. But guessing from the Drawing, Capacity Plus or Multi-Site Capacity Plus as you only show one Master. Although it could be an IP-Site Connect as well.

Again why do you think it's connected to the Master?

If you see four of the five repeaters by pointing RDAC at the Master (Right side of the Drawing) then you probably have a Configuration issue in the Repeater that is not being seen. Read them all into RM, select one Peer that works and the one that does not, and Compare them.

Sorry for not being able to answer the questions correctly...
Have kind of just been thrown into this, without any prior experience with motorola.
There is just about no documentation as well.
As far as i have understand, they just want to have a status window for the repeaters.
Gonna try reading into RM & restarting the repeater manualy and see what happens .-.

A trick that might help. In CPS or RM, look at the ‘Device Information’ page in the left hand menu. This will show you what options the repeater has been licensed for. In North America, repeaters have the IP Site Connect option including from the factory. It will show either as ‘Free’ or ‘Free & Used’ depending if it’s in use or not. Capacity Plus -Single Site and Capacity Plus - Muli Site required additional licensing and will say either ‘Available For Purchase’ or ‘Purchased’ depending on if a license for that feature has been added.
