There is a search going on involving several agencies. The event is south of Fair Oaks Blvd, west of Watt Avenue and north of the American River. A ComLink has been set up with the host channel being SSD 1 (TG 61552). A command post has been set up on American River Drive just west of Watt Avenue.
I heard several different calls going on at the same time. A Sheriff's deputy reported on SSD 1 that the CHP was in pursuit of a vehicle which failed to stop in the area (he must have been listening on a scanner). Sac Metro Fire was dispatching a call to a stabbing. It was reported that there was an incident at a nearby Circle K and the theory is that all calls are related.
They are searching for two subjects, one has been seen south of American River Drive (perhaps on the bike trail) and the other north of American River Drive. The vehicle that failed to stop was a green Jetta, which was reported leaving the scene of the stabbing in which the victim's bag was stolen.
