Thanks.... Canada strikes again?
Damn that pesky border zone where the US has to cooperate and can’t do what ever it wants.
Thanks.... Canada strikes again?
Not meant like that, just figured it was stuff in Canada building out a system, and thought I was looking in the wrong side of the border. Regardless, I was wrong. In WNY, I get a bunch of Canadian TIII systems, mostly in the 420 range so I thought it was Canadian signals seeing how there are few TIII system in the WNY area, and only one have been in the UHF band.Damn that pesky border zone where the US has to cooperate and can’t do what ever it wants.
It will not appear in Sentinel until the CH ID's (aka LCN's) are confirmed.I checked the new updated Master database today for this system and can not find it, can someone point me in the direction were it will show up. I checked Erie County and Niagara county and some other counties and I find nothing. I found it on RR, just wondering
I've been doing the same over the last week here. Same results as well, for nowI just checked all the known licensed frequencies for Passport and SaiaNet at Attica and SaiaNet Rochester and Bristol for any CapMax TIII activity and hear nothing but the existing Con+. It may be worth keeping an eye on the various Saia sites to see what develops with CapMax L7 system implementation. BTW - Passport seems to be dead at Attica. The other Passport sites are out of range for me.
Thanks for the information, I'm getting a good 5 bar signal so I will run Analyze LCN Finder on it and see if I can get anythingIt will not appear in Sentinel until the CH ID's (aka LCN's) are confirmed.
I did a quick check off the posted Saia Passport frequencies in SDRTrunk, and I'm not getting any LTR activity. I did see the distinct little pops of activity that one would see for a LTR system in the 424 area, where Site 1 did basically live, not matching to Saia's Passport, and a check of those frequencies in the FCC shows them coming back to FM Communications, so its possibly/probably from their stuff, just not listed in the DB. Seeing how I used to get Site 1 in pretty good, and nothing now, I think it would be safe to safe Site 1 Passport is off the air, but I could be wrong.I don't want to get OT on this thread but, since the frequencies may be used for the new system, is Passport still active at all?
Ever since the information was posted I have been listening to the system but have not picked up any traffic on it talk groups absolutely nothingHas anybody seen any more activity on either the Goosetown or Saia end of the system?
I just checked all the licensed frequencies for the Attica, Bristol and Rochester sites and no TIII activity yet. I did notice Rochester CON+ LCN4, 464.6125 is not presently active so I am going to keep an eye on that. So, might be related to the Saia/Goosetown project thing, might not be, but, 454.6000, which is/was a SaiaNet Con+ Site 3 - Perrysburg frequency is now showing TIII L5-103, CC3 NL 101, 111, 117. Furthermore, 462.0125 , which is/was a SaiaNet Con+ Site 17 - Colden frequency is now showing TIII L5-117, CC 7 NL 101, 102, 103, 111. The Saia/Goosetown previously reported TIII channels in the WNY area have been not transmitting (at least from what I can tell) for some time now). I'm no rocket scientist, but, I'd think it would be safe to say, theres some Con+ to TIII change over happening, or at least testing. I'm gonna load in what I got into my 436, and run discovery for a while and see what comes up over the next few days.
