Have there been any updates, changes, or activity on the Salem County P25 system in the past couple months? Otherwise, I may try and get my SDS100 to pick it up well enough to let it sit on the system for a day or two and see if anything shows up.

I copied a dispatch this morning on the new system I posted above on TGID 1005. Tones sounded great, audio sounded low. Copied clearly all the way from NE Philadelphia!

Just as an update to that last post, it's actually TGID 1001 the dispatches come through. The audio levels seem improved. This appears to be a permanent simulcast for now. I have heard dispatches come in overnight and early this morning.

Picked up TG 1001 myself from my house in Drexel Hill with just the little stock antenna on my G5. It matched the VHF channel exactly as has been noted here. I'm guessing the 10xx TG's will be fire/EMS.

Yeah they seem to have a good propagation to the North. I finally found a sweet spot at my home and starting Monday I'll run the Unication there to see if any other talkgroups come across. The dispatches on TGID 1001 have no radio ID associated with them and seem to be a direct patch to the dispatch frequency.
Many years ago they had a UHF 500mhz TRS and I believe they had the same 3 channel primary and backup Fire/EMS configuration. Who remembers that? So is it safe to say they will continue with that when the new system comes online many moons from now?

I picked up the CC briefly from Montco PA when conditions were favorable on the 3rd. Picked up NYC and Maryland FIRST as well that night

Update from Salem County Administrator 9/8/2025: Motorola has completed testing of final installation, portable and mobile radio programming is beginning. Should take about a week to program ~1300 portables and distribution will begin shortly. I started to see small number of TGID #s yesterday, didn't catch any voice. Fire & EMS will be operational on portables while apparatus's radio are changed out.
You are correct about the Dispatch being a patch to TGID 1001 of the 501.03750 frequency and County will maintain that frequency's operation so Pagers will not need to be replaced.
