The Mammoth Mtn. Ski Area radio system is #2. System #1 is quite long.

Programming looks correct other than duplicate frequencies with the same LCNs.
Can you double check that the squelch is not set too low.

{edit} I deleted all systems except the Mammoth Ski Area and all three sites scan. When I set the squelch to 0 then the current site scanning will stay on that site.

The Squelch is set at 2. Someone on another thread told me it should be set that way. I just reloaded the Mammoth Ski Area system only using the file I sent you. It still only scans one system, the Summit site, which is the first listed site. I programmed the radio with what shows in the database. Someone on another thread told me to enter each frequency twice, just like the database. It had worked, scanning all sites from around Thanksgiving 2024 until 4/1/25

With you having success scanning all three sites, I beginning to wonder if there is something wrong with my scanner.

When you change the squelch knob position, does the scanner display show S = 02 then S = 03 and so on?

{edit} Could be the noise floor on your scanner is higher then normal. Try setting the squelch to a higher value.

The scanner displays SQUELCH LEVEL 0, 1, 2 . . . . 15.

I've set the at every level from 0-15. The scanner only scans the first site 'MMSA Summit."

EDIT: For some reason the display show a constant 3, 4. When I push either of those numbers the scanner just beeps and doesn't clear those numbers. This has been going on for a year or more. So I can't scan the systems I have with 3 or 4 system number.

Do this:
1 Download from the scanner to ProScan just the settings and not the systems. That way the PS settings will be the same as the scanner settings in case a setting was changed on the front panel.
2. Change the SQK 3 and 4 to 0ff like in this image.
3. Upload to the scanner just the settings and not the systems.

I didn't follow all of that, most of all getting the screen shot to come up on my ProScan screen. I went to the Quick Keys/Search Keys tab, which looks a little bit different than your screen shot, unless you cut of the right hand side of the screen when you posted the image. I didn't know how to just upload the settings only, so I just uploaded to scanner. Maybe that is what you meant.

Now the trouble is I can't scan any of the other systems, except system 10, which I can toggle on and off using the scanner keyboard. I don't know how to get to the other systems (11+) and never have since I've owned the scanner. The scanner's manual and the easier to read version of it, well let's not say it isn't in there, I just can't find how to do this simple task in either of those documents.

I'm not enough of a techy to figure this simple stuff on my own. I've never been partial to Uniden as far as them being intuitive. But without GRE being in the industry we are all forced into buying Unidens. I don't think I have long in this hobby given my cognitive decline. The hobby is just getting too complex for me.

Thanks for helping me with this one task.

Probably a mute point by now but this is what I meant by just the settings and not systems.

Scanner Reset Allows you to initialize the scanner’s memory,
turn off the scanner.
1. Then press 2, 9, and Hold while turning it on.
2. The scanner will give you the option ‘Restore? “Yes”=E/No=”. If you press E/yes, the scanner reloads the preprogrammed systems.

Eureka!!! I reset the scanner and now it is scanning all three Mammoth Mountain Ski Area electronic sites!!! I'll try to read the "Easier" to Read Manual to see how to bring up systems 11+. I hope I can find it. I never would have thought of resetting the scanner. I don't know how I got the radio so fouled up. I can say life has gotten far more complicated in the past 5 years, mostly due to the loss of memory. Not only that I'm not very articulate anymore. I really got "lucky" to have two different situations give me PTSD. If only I could have such luck if I played the lottery. The treatments I've gotten have all but eliminated the nightmares, flashbacks, hallucinations and dangerous sleepwalking, so I feel lucky about that. Oh well, we all have our crosses to bear.

Bob, thank you very much!!!!!

I had assumed that on a three site system like this that whatever traffic that occurred on one site, was sent to the other two sites for multicasting. However, now that I can pick two of the three sites here at home, I can see I've been missing out on a lot of traffic since the radio has only been picking up one site. The ski area had a special spring event today (a pond skimming) as parts of the mountain are closing down for the spring. I was not picking up any traffic from that event. However, all the traffic was on the second site and now I'm hearing it all. I'm glad that I just got on RR to ask for help! Thanks again, Bob!

I lost track of who was posting and thought this post was Bob's. wtp, thanks for the suggestion to reset the scanner!! This is finally got the scanner to scan all three sites of the system. I'm now going to go up to the main lodge at the ski area to see how well the radio works scanning all three sites.

bob does do a lot around here.

Yes he does. He keeps track of the problems some people have with ProScan and either solves the problem or tweaks his software with new versions. His answering my thread is most appreciated. I don't know what I did to eliminate the scanning of two of the sites. It's a moot point now. If it happens again I will try resetting the scanner.

to turn off groups 10+ push the .No (thats decimal No key) the first number then the 2nd so if you want to turn on group 37 .No 3 7

I'm embarrassed, I had figured this out 3-4 years ago. I had highlighted the instructions and dog eared the page where these exact instructions were located. I didn't remember doing this until I dug up the "Easier to Read" instruction book just before bedtime last night. I'm going to have to read that book from cover to cover and highlight more text and put those page markers in that have adhesive and a place to write on. I'll do that at about the pace of 2-3 pages per day. Otherwise your eyes and brain just kind of blur over.
